Dr. Ramsay joined the University of Saskatchewan faculty in July, 1916 as a member of the classics department, and quickly gained a reputation as a firstâ€”rate teacher. He remained until 1934 when he was named dean of Regina College, which was incorporated into the university that year. He retired in 1940 and lived at the west coast for a time, returning to Saskatchewan each summer. He then moved back to the province.Degree received: Doctor of Laws
Dr. Ramsay was educated at Queenâ€™s University and the University of Chicago. He taught public school at Washington, Ont. and Norwich, Ont. before moving into the high school system at Listowel, Ont. He went to Regina to teach in the newlyâ€”opened Central Collegiate in 1910, remaining there until he joined the university staff.
