World War I

As early as March 1916, the University of Saskatchewan Board of Governors decided to create a Roll of Honour by having "the names of all students, and others connected with the University who have enlisted, painted on the 'ribbons' in the corridors" of the College Building. This database, compiled by Professor Emeritus of History Michael Hayden, provides as much detail as could be discovered in university records and the National Archives on-line records about members of the University of Saskatchewan community who served in World War I. In as many cases as possible, a link is provided to the National Archives records to open the way for further research.
