January 31 - ECCENTRICITY

the eleventh day of Freedom

The pool took on an eccentric flavor this morning. I saw faces I have never seen before. There was also a spruce tree, which appeared like a mirage, where yesterday there was only snow and ice. When quirky characters appear unexpectedly, I am both fascinated and put on guard. Sometimes it reminds me of experiences in my childhood - real or imagined.

To explore eccentricity is to open myself to the eccentric parts of my inner landscape - the side that is willing to shun conventionality. Two circles are said to be eccentric when they have different centers. By shifting to a new circle of influence we get to see life from a new perspective. Are there aspects of this picture that dislodge hidden memories or long forgotten faces in your past?
