Description The following ten SAGE indexes are newly available as abstract and indexing databases. Previously they were only available as print indexes. Print and ejournal equivalents that the UofS currently subscribes to are indicated below. Note that the ejournal equivalents were not databases, only digitized versions of the print:
  • Abstracts in Social Gerontology -- Includes "bibliographic records covering essential areas related to social gerontology, including the psychology of aging, elder abuse, society and the elderly, and other key areas of relevance to the discipline. The index contains 70,000 records, which are carefully selected from the most important sources within the discipline, such as: Journals of Gerontology Series, American Journal of Geriatric Psychiatry, Experimental Gerontology, .... back to 1990."   • Educational Administration Abstracts -- Includes "bibliographic records covering areas related to educational administration, including educational leadership, educational management, educational research, and other areas of key relevance to the discipline. The index contains 60,000 records, which are carefully selected from the most important sources within the discipline, such as: Educational Administration Quarterly, Review of Higher Education, Journal of Educational Administration, ... coverage back to 1966."
  • Family Studies Abstracts -- Iincludes "bibliographic records covering essential areas related to family studies, including marriage, divorce, family therapy, and other areas of key relevance to the discipline. The index contains 45,000 records, which are carefully selected from the most important sources within the discipline, such as: Journal of Family Studies, Journal of Marriage & Family, Family Relations, etc. ... coverage back to 1979."   • Human Resources Abstracts -- Includes "bibliographic records covering essential areas related to human resources, including human resource management, employee assistance, organizational behavior, and other areas of key relevance to the discipline. Springer e-Books - All 2008 imprints for electronic books, book series, and reference works in the SpringerLink portal will be accessible as they are published. Together with the previous 2005-2007 imprint collection, there will be over 15,000 titles available via SpringerLink, covering primarily science, technology, and medicine and related topics, but also the arts and humanities, and social sciences. Alternatively, selected Springer titles (approximately half) are available in the MyiLibrary platform which also contains titles acquired through the book vendor, Coutts.
