DescriptionA collection of 65 Russian central newspapers, including official resources, independent media and partisan publications. Also includes several English language newspapers, including The Moscow Times. This collection is also known as the Universal Database of Russian Central Newspapers (UDB-COM). However previous issues are also available for selected titles.

The newspapers may be searched in Cyrillic and in transliteration using the Library of Congress transliteration system (tables can be found at: http://lcweb.loc.gov/catdir/cpso/roman.html). Search terms in English or other languages may also be searched to find foreign language words as they appear in an article.
