| Description | A database suite comprised of CrossFire Beilstein, CrossFire Gmelin and Patent Chemistry Database (the Library does not subscribe to the latter database). The suite represents a unique, deeply indexed source of experimental data in organic, inorganic and organometallic chemistry. This is a client/server application that requires downloading of client software. "The suite contains:
CrossFire Commander and CrossFire Server are an "integrated client/server application for searching the CrossFire Database Suite. With simple queries, the experimental chemical and physical properties, including electric, magnetic, thermal, crystal and physiological data can be accessed to provide relevant answers to all questions in preparative chemistry." Access Note: The CrossFire Suite requires that you download and install an application called the CrossFire Commander. Access to CrossFire Database Suite is restricted to current students, faculty, and staff of the University of Saskatchewan, and to "walk-in" users of the University of Saskatchewan Library for their occasional use, for educational, research, and non-commercial personal use. It is accessible in the library, on campus, and remotely. Walk-in users may not download the client software. Systematic copying or downloading of electronic resource content, including the downloading of a full issue, is not permitted by Canadian and International Copyright law. |
