Virtuoso pianist Janina Fialkowska (Herstory 1992) was one
of Artur Rubenstein's last proteges. She has played to critical acclaim around the world and, as a well-known
interpreter of Liszt, was invited to give the first performance of a newly discovered concerto.
The duties of a woman, because she is a woman, are great and
she is expected to carry them out. If you want to be a creative artist
and a decent soul, a "real" woman and a "real" human being, then I think
you have to work a lot harder for it.
