This page contains links to information on commonly used citation styles (e.g APA, MLA, etc.). When writing a research paper it is important to cite any information you used in your research. Different academic disciplines follow different formats for presenting citations, so check with your instructor to make sure you are using the right one.
Below you will find guides for some of the major styles. For complete documentation on a particular style, you should consult the original style guide handbook. Handbooks for the various style guides are available at most libraries, some may be available online, as well some may be purchased at some bookstores.
RefWorks allows you to import references/citations from online databases, organize them into topic folders, insert them in a variety of citation style formats (e.g. APA and MLA) into the body of your research paper, and generate formatted reference lists.
Off-campus access to RefWorks may require a group code.
