Citation Style Guides

This page contains links to information on commonly used citation styles (e.g APA, MLA, etc.). When writing a research paper it is important to cite any information you used in your research. Different academic disciplines follow different formats for presenting citations, so check with your instructor to make sure you are using the right one.

Below you will find guides for some of the major styles. For complete documentation on a particular style, you should consult the original style guide handbook. Handbooks for the various style guides are available at most libraries, available online, or may be purchased.
