The holdings are comprised primarily of Statistics Canada public user data files available under the Data Liberation Initiative (DLI) program, and files from the Inter-University Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR).

Financial datasets including CRSP, COMPUSTAT, FP and TSE/Western have also been acquired.

Some additional data and GIS files have been purchased, such as FAO and OECD data sets, and DMTI geospatial data.

Government produced data files are catalogued and listed in the catalogue.

Assistance with the content of data files owned by the University of Saskatchewan Libraries collection is available. Assistance is also available if you require help to locate data files that are held in other locations related to a particular research enquiry.

The acquisition and/or development of front-end software is undertaken to enchance access to heavily-used data files.

For assistance with data files, contact the Main Library Reference Desk or the Coordinator of Data Library Services.

Users are encouraged to deposit datasets that they have acquired, provided there are no restrictions on their use within the university.

Data files are catalogued and entered in U of S Libraries online public access catalog. Access to many data files is restricted by license to non-commercial academic use by University of Saskatchewan faculty and students.
