CANSIM II What is CANSIM?

The best way to search CANSIM II is either via the CHASS web site or via ESTAT web site. Data on CHASS is updated weekly while that on ESTAT is updated yearly every June.

Note: If you access CANSIM directly through the regular Statistics Canada site, you will be prompted to pay before you can download a time series.

Reference Material:

CANSIM (Canadian Socio-economic Information Management System) is Statistics Canada's key socioeconomic database providing access to current and historical time series data collected on a wide variety of subjects. In 2001, Statistics Canada released CANSIM II, an updated version of CANSIM.
