The collection includes contemporary books and current issues, First Nation's newspapers, magazines and journals, and an extensive collection on the Royal Commission Report on Aboriginal Peoples, General Anthropology and residential schools. Other holdings include a newsclipping collection, rare books, microfilm/microfiche dealing with census records, Dept. of Indian Affairs, Draper Manuscripts and several University dissertations. Specialized areas include an Education Unit with curriculum guidelines and course outlines from nursery to post secondary, General Vertical File, Self Government Unit, Linguistics Unit, Bibliographical and Research Unit and gallery, museum and biographical data on First Nations Artists.
