The records have been entered according to Rules for Archival Description: titles and annotations have been transcribed exactly. Although every attempt has been made to include standardized subject headings, researchers should be aware that image names and annotations will reflect changes in terminology over time (for example, "Riel Rebellion" and "Northwest Rebellion" could both be found as titles for images relating to the Northwest Resistance, 1885).
