Colonel C. Eug. Panet, Deputy Minister of Militia and Defence submitted his report on 15 May 1886. His report contains information on the method of clothing and equipping the troops, the establishment of a commissariat system for operations in the West, the organizing of a Medical Service and Ambulance Corps, the difficulties in transporting troops and supplies to the West, the war plans and maps for the different battles, statistics on battle casualties, and an investigation into the various war claims.
