Reminder:

Please be aware that we will be registering you in the classes manually, so there will be a delay between signing up and having the courses appear in your PAWS account.

To ensure a successful registration, please keep your schedule open for the LC courses. This means that as you register for courses you:

A) do not register for courses that are part of the LC you have signed up for

B) do not register for courses that will conflict with any of the courses in the LC schedule

LC Sign-up System Open!

Please find the 2017-18 Learning Communities offerings below. Look through the schedules and pick the one that interests you the most. We'll register you in the classes and set you up with 2 upper-year students who will help you develop the independent study skills you'll need to be a successful university student.

LC Sections in high demand will appear in BLUE (10 or fewer seats remaining). Full sections will appear in RED. We update the "seats remaining" by hand as quickly as we can, but it is possible the numbers aren't up to date.

Click 'How to Sign Up' in the Learning Communities drop-down menu above to learn how sign-up works.

If you have any questions about the program, please email lc@usask.ca.

The first year of university can be intimidating, but signing up for a First-Year Learning Community (LC) can help you:

  • connect with other students who have common interests and goals
  • develop skills to study more effectively
  • explore new ideas, interests and
  • learn from your peers in first year and upper years
For more information about what to expect in a Learning Community and how LCs can benefit you, see our About page.
