Final exams are coming, and the University Library is the place to be when you're studying!
But while you're doing all that studying, don’t let stress get the better of you – you can also Take a Break at the University Library.
The library branches hosting Take a Break spaces are the Murray Library, the Leslie & Irene Dubé Health Sciences Library, the Engineering Library, the Education & Music Library, and the Science Library. These spaces are drop-in, casual, and fun. There is Play-Doh, crafts, puzzles, LEGO, board games, and more to help you to relax and refocus before getting back to the books.
All of the seven libraries on campus will be giving out snacks, generously donated by the Alumni Association. You may even see some Alumni volunteers wandering through certain libraries, handing out treats!
There will be visits from our four-legged canine friends, the St John's Ambulance registered therapy dogs from the PAWS Your Stress program.
|Tuesday, April 11th||1:00 - 2:30||Murray Library, Room 102|
|Thursday, April 13th||1:00 - 2:30||Education & Music Library|

|Thursday, April 20th||1:00 - 2:30||Health Sciences Library|
Check out the Stress Less During Exams page to keep up to date with all the activities happening around campus during exams. Our friends the Peer Health Mentors are planning lots of activities, including a nap room, mindfulness meditation, and movie nights.
Need to relax? Starting today, Massage Therapy program students will be offering free 15-minute massages on the ground floor of the Murray Library.
Massages will be offered on April 5th, 6th and 7th from noon to 3 pm each day. Students who wish to have massages must sign up for them with the masseuses. There are a limited amount of time slots per day. This initiative is part of the Stress Less program run by Student Health Services, in conjunction with Take a Break at the Library.
24/7 Safe Study begins tonight, March 29th 2017, at the Murray Library.
When the rest of the library closes for the night, the ground floor of the Murray Library is open for student study space. This includes the group study rooms and access to the computers and printers on that floor. The Safe Study program is a partnership between the USSU and the Murray Library and is available to students of all colleges. Members of the USSU Student Crew ensure that only current students (showing their valid student cards) are allowed in, and they patrol the area to make sure that it remains safe for everyone.
Need to stay up all night to finish that paper or study for that final? 24 Hour Safe Study will begin on March 29th and run until 8:00 am on April 27th (with the exception of Friday, April 14th, when the library will be closed for the statutory holiday). More information can be found on the Safe Study page.
