WCVM Library Adopt-a-Journal Campaign

The Adopt‐a‐Journal Program has been generously funded by veterinary professionals from the four Western Canadian provinces since 1999. Since the inaugural campaign, journals have been the focus of our fundraising effort because there was a need to maintain this type of material in the Library's collection.  Your support has kept current journals on the library's shelves to be used by students and staff of the WCVM, as well as by veterinary practitioners who use the Library's extension program.

Lately, however, many veterinary journals have migrated from print to electronic format. In light of this trend, the WCVM Library Committee has recommended that the Library's annual fundraising campaign broaden its focus from print journals to include other materials such as newly published books -- including reference books -- and new editions of textbooks.

Please contact  Erin Watson at (306)966-7327 or email Erin Watson@usask.ca if you would like more information about how to sponsor a specific book or journal. We are very grateful for your sponsorship.

Donor Recognition

We are pleased to recognize our donors with a permanent bookplate in the books and journals that they sponsor. If you choose not to be publicly recognized for your support, we will honour your wishes.

Journals/Books

If there is a specific book or journal that you wish to adopt, please include that title on the form on the facing page. If you would like a selection of titles to choose from, please contact Erin Watson at (306)966-7327 or Erin.Watson@usask.ca for more information.

Donating

Donations go directly to University Advancement in Kirk Hall, on campus, not to the Library in the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. University Advancement will provide you with a charitable donation receipt.

You may pay by cheque or credit card. You may use your credit card by calling 1‐800‐699‐1907, 24 hours/day. There is also an electronic gift form at www.usask.ca/advancement/
