Phone Home ... And Discuss That Essay Topic

In the wrap up to Ethnographic Methods and and Participatory Design in a University Library one of the most surprising findings was that students asked their parents for advice and help with writing papers.

This observation correlates with the results of a recent Survey of Current College Parent Experiences (PDF) which found that 74% of parents talk 2 to 3 times a week to their student.

Scott Walter raises some questions about what the library implications are in his post on the ACRL blog Bring "Helicopter Parents" In For A Landing & Your Library.
