Census Mashups - Target a neighborhood and learn about it

Try out a census mashup application and create your own mashup on the fly. This tool was developed by AnayGIS and SRC using SRC's Allocate demographics engine and Google Maps. Census data is returned one a one mile, three mile and five mile radius around a particular point.

Wonder how many housing units there are in a particular neighborhood in San Francisco, how many rental units vs.how many are owned units, what year were units built and, of course, what is the average cost (keep in mind this 2000 census data)? Check it out.

Ducky Sherwood has created another census mashup tool at maps.webfoot.com and offers premade maps as well as an expert option where you can create your own map o the fly showing population, race and housing characteristics.

GeoWhitePages.com displays both census data (click on the green cylinders) and information about people from public records. It's a little bit of what's on public record and available with a click of a button.

Where is that zipcode? Enter a zipcode at Maps.Huge.Info and see the boundaries based on the US Census Tiger files.
