One "Box" to Rule Them All - British Library Launches New Home Page
The British Library has launched a new home page and provide this information about the new design. The new design prominently features federated search box that searches 10,000 web pages, 13 million catalogue records, 90,000 pictures and sounds, and 9 million articles.
We were aware that some users had been finding it difficult to find the British Library web content that best met their needs. Using the new search box means that users can see results from our four most important web resources together on the same page.
The new home page is the "result of extensive user research and technical development over the last year."
