Teqlo - Letting Anyone Create Mashups

Teqlo Logo

Teqlo joins a growing suite of tools -- Yahoo!Pipes, Dapper, Coghead, and Ning -- that let anyone dabble with mashups without having to write code.

Teqlo was just released in beta and it's worth trying it out provided that you have Firefox 2 installed.
Setting up a new mashup with Teqlo is a bit like creating a new spreadsheet or setting in a few email rules. It is relatively easy to create a new application with Teqlo working with a drag and drop interface and filing in a few conditions. At the moment Teqlo only have few precoded widgets that you can quickly build applications with but that's bound to expand.

Check out some of the other mashup / application builders below. Each of these tools has it's strengths. For example, Dapper's screen scraping ability is something that could come in handy fairly often.

Thanks for the post. Just to be clear, while other tools are redefining what it means to develop web apps, we think we're on a different plane because our service can be exploited by technical and non-technical types alike. Our mission is to make it possible for anyone to build something, or more probable, to edit something that already exists.

Thanks for dropping by.

I think for now your site is easier to grasp than Yahoo! Pipes for the average user.

In terms of building/cloning a social network type application (a slightly different space than the one you're targeting) Ning has made that easy for anyone to do.

I like where you're going with Teqlo.
