Mashup Attendees Add Pushpins and Photos

frappr mashups photos

There's been a great response to the request to collectively create a mashup of sites/people attending the webcast using frappr.

So far 76 pushpins have been added to the map with library or individual names and 55 photos uploaded.

I'd like to thank everyone who has populated the map. If you haven't popped by, take a moment to see the photos and comments that some of them left. It gives you a better sense of who is participating in new learning opportunities.

I'd also like invite anyone who attended the webcast who hasn't added a pushpin to add one now. Or you have created a mashup feel free to add a note about your mashup and add a green pushpin. There were 380 sites logged into the webcast so there's still a few more people who could participate.

One attendee dropped me a interesting note to say that frappr has improved since it first launched. One nice new feature is that it shows the photos in a photo slideshow at the bottom of the map screen or you can click to browse them six at a time. There's some great photos and cartoons and I especially like the photo of the two toads sitting on a rock. I suspect there's a story behind that photo.

A very good presentation Darlene. If people are are looking for some good examples of how to create Google Maps I found a great resource that is easier to follow for non-programmers. http://www.econym.demon.co.uk/ googlemaps/
