Show and Tell: 3 Web Design Misconceptions by Luke Wroblewski

Luke is an internationally known leader on web design and author of a book on designing forms and on visual web design. He is Senior Director of Product Ideation & Design at Yahoo! Inc.

In this new article published at UXMatters Luke describes and illustrates with examples three common misconceptions about visual design. These misconceptions make it difficult for designers to work for you as design teams want several elements "popped" out and think popping=bigger, bolder.

Luke elegantly makes the case that design is more than visual and that looking at elements piecemeal rather than in the context of the whole can yield a dog's breakfast.
