Colleen Cutschall

Originally from Pine Ridge South Dakota and now living in Southwestern Manitoba, Cutschall's tribal affiliation is Oglala-Sicango Lakota. She has worked as a professor of visual arts in Brandon Manitoba, and has served as a member of various arts councils including the Manitoba Aboriginal Arts Council, and is an active supporter of a number of Manitoba art galleries. Her art has been exhibited across Canada and the United States, and has been widely published. She is a strong advocate of both aboriginal and women’s rights and has a long history of local, national, and international involvement in Native issues 1.
