Ron Davies

Ron Davies is a library and information system consultant with Bibliomatics Inc., the Ottawa-based company he founded in 1987.

He has extensive experience in needs analysis and requirements definition, database design, application development and programming for a wide range of Canadian and International clients including the International Development Research Centre, International Monetary Fund, World Bank, International Labour Organization and Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.

Most recently, he has developed new Internet and SGML-based publishing services for the Canadian Depository Services Program and federal government publishing program, and advised on priorities for Extranet applications for the United Nations' system.

He is currently developing a Java-based thesaurus management system, and thinks Java is the best thing since-- well, maybe not sliced bread, but it's at least the best thing since Perl.
