The image displays the first page of the score to Igor Stravinsky's ballet, The Rite of Spring. I chose this as an illustration because Rite of Spring, perhaps more than any other piece of music, marks a clear delineation between what came before and what was to come after.
Without wanting to sound too deep, I believe the Web needs a similar sharp break between a generation that plumbed the depths of what it can do and a new one whose boundaries have yet to be explored.
Also, of course, this is the coolest bassoon lick there ever was.
