Steve Sloan
I obtained my MLS
from the University of Western Ontario in 1979. Shortly
thereafter, I moved to Fort McMurray, Alta where I
started my library career driving the bookmobile at -40
degrees (Celsius, Farenheit, it's all the same when it
gets that cold). Eventually, I became Head of Technical
Services before moving on to Syncrude Canada to act as
Corporate Librarian. In 1988, I joined the University of New Brunswick's Engineering Library. While at UNB, I have been involved in a large number of automation projects. These include serving as the University's WebMaster for four years. I am married to Janet, a Grade 7 Language Arts teacher and have three children. They ensure that I am kept too busy to get into any real trouble. |
