R.D. Symons of Silton, author, artist, conservationist, and pioneer rancher, will receive an honorary doctor of laws degree. …As an artist, his work can be seen in the diorama background in the Saskatchewan Museum of Natural History, the Glenbow-Alberta Foundation in Calgary, Campion College, and in other public and private collections. The NMAG will be presenting a retrospective collection of his work until November 16. Mr. Symon’s books include “Many Trails,” “The Broken Snare,” and “Still the Wind.” He has illustrated many of his books and articles.
