Mr. Ron Graham graduated in 1962 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Saskatchewan. That same year he joined the family construction business, P.W. Graham & Sons Ltd. in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Over the next twenty years, the company grew to nine offices in Western Canada and the USA.

In 1978, Ron was appointed President and CEO of the company and in 1985, after nearly sixty years of family ownership, employees joined forces with the Graham family to form Graham Construction and Engineering (1985) Ltd.

Ron was appointed Chairman in 1990 and under his leadership the company has earned numerous awards and recognition.

Today, Graham Group Ltd. is an industry-leading, employee-owned family of companies offering general contracting, project management, design-build and construction services from offices across Canada and the United States.

Graham Group Ltd. earned membership in Canada's 50 Best Managed Companies Platinum Club, one of this country's most elite business designations.

Ron has held senior positions in a number of associations: the Saskatchewan Construction Association Labour Relations President, 1969-1970; the Saskatchewan Construction Association President, 1970; the Canadian Construction Association Vice-President, 1978; Past President- Moose Jaw Construction Association; Past Chairman of the Moose Jaw Kinsmen International Band Festival; Member of the Professional Engineering Association of Saskatchewan and Alberta; World Presidents Organization, 2011; and CEO, Chief Executive Organization, 2011.

The College of Engineering was honoured to have Ron as the 2012 C.J. Mackenzie Distinguished Graduate Lecturer and recently inducted him to the College of Engineering Alumni Wall of Distinction.

Ron Graham's successful career and long time involvement and support of the University of Saskatchewan make him very worthy of receiving an honorary degree. Over the last three decades Ron has supported numerous athletic programs, scholarships, and many other areas across the university. Ron's support has been instrumental in the development and growth of the Centre for Communication Studies in the College of Engineering as well as the Huskie Clubhouse Expansion. Whether he is financially supporting the university, or attending sporting events as a spectator, Ron Graham has demonstrated a life-long interest and commitment to the success of the University of Saskatchewan - an institution he is very proud to call his alma mater.
