About Ask Us

Library staff from all University Library locations respond to chat, phone, and email questions.

Ask Us anything! We'll do our best to help you out. Any question regarding the library, our locations, research, learning, or study skills is welcome. We may refer more complex questions to other members of our library team to ensure you get the help you need.

Although our primary clients are University of Saskatchewan students, staff, and faculty, we also accept questions from the public. When starting a new chat, you have the option to share your NSID and email address with us. We find this information helpful, as it allows us to check your library account or to follow up with you later if necessary. However, if you prefer, you can leave those fields blank and remain anonymous.
We try to respond right away, but we may be busy working with other clients. If you do not receive an immediate response, please try waiting a few minutes or leave your email address in the chat window and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

You can email a copy of the transcript to yourself by clicking the envelope icon on the top right corner of your chat screen.

If you provided us with your NSID or USask email address, we'll send you a brief email with a link to the chat transcript, as well as an invitation to rate the chat interaction and the opportunity to follow up if you have any remaining questions.
