Today at the pool, I watched the light from an abiding sun bleach the ice that rimmed a window to the sky. For an instant, my world became a timeless place, a fleeting glimpse of eternity. Do you sense a "forever" state when you look at this image? Or does it provide you with a different experience?

I can't picture how long eternity is, but I can, at times, get brief glimpses of that realm we call the eternal. For me it represents that state where time simply doesn't factor into the experience. I admit that is a rare occurrence in my busy life, but the pool does allow me an opportunity to bring time to a slower pace.
