June 17 - MYSTERY

the twenty-seventh day of Enchantment

The sky has closed in on the pool. The forms within the water have darkened. Details are lost, identities obscured. Secrets are safe here, not to be revealed.

Today is the day of Mystery. There are at least two ways I approach a mystery. One is to try to solve it, while the other is to be in awe, to immerse myself in a realm different from, but encompassing my conscious mind. The latter is where I love to be. Attempting to solve something - a mystery, a puzzle, or a riddle engages the thinking aspects of my brain. Choosing to accept that the answer is bigger than I am frees me to remain in the spell of the unknown.

Today I am captivated by the inexplicable quality of creation, and especially by the magic of this pool. For me it embodies life's greatest mysteries.

Which type are you? Can you let go of the need to know? Perhaps you are already there. Perhaps you are both at the same time. That is a mystery.
