June 25 - BONDING
the fourth day of Nurturance
Is it my imagination or are those trees actually conversing with each other? They certainly were not speaking English but the connection one with the other was palpable. So if trees don't speak, how do they communicate with each other?
Have you noticed how tree limbs seem to reach out and fill the space but not actually bump into each other? How do they do that? How do they know where to spread their branches and when to respect their neighbor's space? What can they teach me about compatibility and peaceful co-existence? Could it be that their roots send signals not to occupy or intrude on the space next door? If so, they have much to teach me about making sure I don't step on another's toes.
Bonding often has as much to do with developing compatibility as it does with enjoying areas of commonality.
How easily do you bond with your acquaintances? What are the ingredients that contribute to a sustained and harmonious relationship? What role does mutual trust and respect play for you in bonding?
