June 27 - INFLATION

the sixth day of Nurturance

As I watched the waves expand across the pool today, I noticed the colors they carried would swell in unison. Pregnant with sentience, each upsurge seemed to grow fuller, its belly ripe with expression.

Inflation as applied to economic forecasts has such a negative connotation, implying that money isn't worth as much as it once was. In nature, however, it holds the promise of growth and abundant life, perhaps even the anticipation of a new birth.

How does a whale get to be such a size? How does a giraffe grow so tall? How does a potted plant, growing alongside the pool, develop such a variety of colorful blooms? At the heart of the great mystery is the desire for growth and expansion.

Today I ponder the magic of Nature to reproduce and grow. My wish is that today brings you more questions than answers.
