Print Collection Changes
The Revitalized Engineering Print Collection

The print collection of engineering books and journals in a new physical arrangement continues to support the information needs of researchers, teachers, learners, and practitioners.

  • The core collection, which remains in the Engineering Library, consists of in-demand print materials such as reserve and reference titles, standards from various agencies, current journals, and books on engineering and related topics with high circulation counts or recent publication dates.

  • The remainder of the collection has been temporarily relocated to closed stack storage in the Leslie and Irene Dubé Health Sciences Library. Its permanent home will be the Science Library in the Geology Building. You can use the library website to order materials from storage. If you need an item urgently, please contact staff in the Engineering Library to arrange for expedited delivery from the stored collection - Ph: 306-966-5976; Em: enmail@library.usask.ca

How to Request Library Materials from Storage
There are two ways to request materials from the engineering collection in storage:
  • To order print books and journal volumes delivered to the branch library of your choice use the “Request Hold” feature in the library catalogue. The estimated turnaround time for in-storage items is 2-3 business days. Checked out items will take longer to deliver.

  • To have an article PDF sent to your desktop use the “Submit a Request” feature on the Interlibrary Loan page and choose Health Sciences Library.
    • In the “Additional Information” section indicate that you are a faculty/grad student requesting an item from storage.
    • On receipt of your email delivery notification, copy and paste the password from the email into your browser to retrieve the PDF. Your NSID is not required.
    • Note: The PDF stored is only available to be downloaded for 5 days once it has been sent. Download and save the file on your computer for longer access.
