You may have noticed some new art pieces throughout the first floor of the Murray Library. These are part of the second installment of the Secondary School Art in the Library (SSAIL) exhibit. This year, the works of art have been made by grade 11 and 12 students from Bedford Road Collegiate. Their masterpieces have been framed, and will hang in the library until next year. The pieces also include descriptions which have been written by the high school artists themselves.
A reception and short program for the student artists was held on Tuesday, March 28th. Congratulations to the artists for all their hard work!
This initiative is the result of a partnership between Student Recruitment, the University Library, and the Art & Art History Department. The art from last year's inaugural exhibit came from Oskayak High School.
