The University Library has been busy over the summer getting ready for a major update to our website. So far, we have talked to employees from all seven libraries and online service units but now it is time to hear from you.
We want this website to work for you, the way you do your research and look for information about the library. That is why we want to hear from real users early and often throughout the design process. The website alpha.library.usask.ca that you see today is just a prototype. Nothing here is final and you will probably stumble on some incomplete pages, typos, and other weird stuff. This site is a space for us to try out new ideas, test new features, and find out what library users want to do on the website.
You can expect to see this site change a lot over the Fall 2017 semester. We will keep adding and improving content and changing the way pages are laid out as we learn more about what is and isn't working. We hope you will come back often and let us know what you think. The more feedback we hear, the better the final site will be.
If you are wondering what is happening with the old site, rest assured that it isn't going anywhere until we are confident that the new site is working smoothly. You can always get back to library.usask.ca but we hope you will give this alpha site a try and let us know what you think.
