JUSTICE REFORM COMMISSION TO HEAR PRESENTATIONS FROM FSIN, RCMP
SASKATOON – The Commission on
First Nations and Métis Peoples and Justice Reform has scheduled two important
presentations to be heard Thursday morning in Saskatoon.
The Federation of Saskatchewan
Indian Nations (FSIN) will be presenting to the Commission beginning at 9 a.m.
It is anticipated this presentation will provide a reaction to the Commission’s
January interim report as well as provide the FSIN’s perspective on the future
direction of the Commission. The presentation will conclude at 10:30 a.m.
Following the FSIN presentation,
Chief Superintendent Darrell McFadyen of the RCMP will make a presentation to
the Commission. This presentation will run between 10:45 a.m. and 12:15 p.m.
These events are being held at
the Indian and Metis Friendship Centre, 168 Wall Street in Saskatoon. The media
and public are welcome to attend.
