Tell Us: Why aren't there more plug-ins in the Health Sciences Library?

I love the Health Sciences Library – the great views, the amount of natural light, the open space

Your Question

“I love the Health Sciences Library – the great views, the amount of natural light, the open space. However, I find one problem with the library. As a student who works well in a cubicle (able to focus on my work and not be distracted), I find the amount of taller cubicles that have WORKING plugins extremely low for the amount of students who use the building.  I find it extremely frustrating that the cubicles that are available do not have power in them. I see many students running their power cords over distances instead of using the desktop-easy-access-outlet. Why aren't these cubicles plugged in??”

Our Response

Thank you for taking the time to provide your comments. We are delighted that, for the most part, you find the Leslie and Irene Dubé Health Sciences Library to your liking.

With respect to the frustration you are experiencing with the carrels, let us tell you that you weren’t the only one who wanted plug-ins! We are happy to let you know that we have now rectified this mistake. We recently replaced all the original study carrels with ones that have both plug-ins and overhead lighting. We have also installed some new tables with powered outlets. We appreciate your patience as we worked through this.
