Congratulations to University of Saskatchewan (U of S) librarian and C-EBLIP member Karim Tharani who was recently awarded a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) Insight Development Grant (IDG) in the amount of $54,000. Karim was also awarded a Community-Engaged Scholarship Grant of $6,000. These two grants will go support two different research projects. The SSHRC IDG grant will assist with Karim's research on linked data, while the Community-Engaged Scholarship grant will support a project on how technology-based interventions might help in the transmission of oral traditions. The University Library, U of S, has a robust culture of research and Karim's success on the national stage is a reflection of this evolving research culture and of his dedication and drive towards research excellence.
