Library Makers Exhibition

A celebration of the creativity and ingenuity of library staff and faculty, as is shown through their unique art

Location: Murray Library 1st Floor: Link Gallery

Curator: Jaclyn McLean

Duration: February-April 2018

Special reception February 21st at 2:30-3:30

This exhibition was inspired by the University Library People Plan 2017-21 and our people vision:

  • Community:
We generously support each other and embrace diversity
  • Creativity: We champion innovation, encourage new ideas, and take risks
  • Curiosity: We are inquisitive and look for ways to improve
  • Learning: We are enthusiastic learners who challenge ideas

By providing a space for us to share our creative outputs with each other, I am hoping to create a spark for developing new relationships with colleagues and building our community, learning something new about each other, and getting curious about the absolutely remarkable people we work with. By providing a physical space in the Link for us to celebrate our creativity, we can come together and learn from each other. The show includes an impressive variety of media, from what you may expect, like knitting and photography, to a forest of wire and gemstone trees and handmade jewelry.
