Elections, Parties and Leaders

The Elections, Parties and Leaders exhibit will be showcased in the Murray Library Link Gallery until the end of June.

John Courtney (Senior Policy Fellow, Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy, and Professor Emeritus, College of Arts and Science, Department of Political Studies) and Patrick Hayes (University Archives and Special Collections) are the curators of the exhibit.

Elections, Parties and Leaders uses items from the University Library, the University Archives and Special Collections, and the Diefenbaker Collection to cover a range of topics relating to institutions central to a liberal, democratic state. Principal among these are periodic, open, competitive elections, electoral reform, leadership conventions, the administration of elections (Elections Canada), the expansion of the franchise, and electoral boundary readjustments.
