Renovations on the first floor of the Murray Library

Get research help downstairs and IT help in room 147.

In the summer of 2016, the learning hub on the first floor of the Murray Library was introduced, as part of the University Library Master Plan. This custom learning hub connects the Research Help Desk, the IT Support Desk, and the Collaborative Learning Pods in one convenient location.

After working within the current layout for a few years, we have decided to make some changes which will help to make the distinct functions of the space more clear. The changes will also aid in wayfinding and will provide additional space for the IT Support Desk staff.

The learning hub will undergo renovations on Monday, July 22. This work may continue until Tuesday, July 23. The space will be cordoned off to keep everyone safely out of the work area. Expect construction noise to occur on the first floor on these dates.

Over the weekend, and during renovations, IT Support will temporarily be located in room 147 on the first floor (next to the Collaborative Learning Lab, room 145). Research Help will temporarily be relocated to the Check-Out Desk on the ground floor. Whiteboards and signs will be in place to assist in locating these temporary setups.
