iPortal featured resource: In conversation with Lewis Cardinal

This series of eight recorded webinars features human rights and antiracism advocate Lewis Cardinal in conversation with elders, artists, academics, and knowledge keepers.

Originally produced by the Alberta Council of Women’s Shelters (ACWS) to build capacity among ACWS organizations to support positive relationship building with Indigenous women, families, and communities, these videos offer a series of Indigenous perspectives on culture, relationality, trauma, and healing.

These recorded conversations range in length, from 45 minutes to one-hour and 20 minutes, and are designed to promote discussion and reflection. While they do focus on shelter environments, these webinars are an accessible, capacity building tool for anyone interested in learning about Indigenous worldviews, relationality, and the resilience and leadership of Indigenous women.
