This website is designed to educate teachers and other educators on Indigenous peoples, cultures, and communities and on possible strategies for integrating those perspectives into established curriculum. This resource was created by Alberta Education at the suggestion of and in consultation with First Nation, Métis and Inuit community representatives that make their homes and/or whose traditional territories are located in what is now the province of Alberta. The Walking Together website draws on local, place-based Indigenous knowledge and protocols to build cultural understanding and capacity in educators.
