Course reserves

The University Library is available to add library resources directly into your Canvas course

The Course Reserves team at the University Library are here to assist University of Saskatchewan instructors with placing student readings and library resources directly into your Canvas course for you. Once you submit a request, Library staff will take it from there!

Electronic resources are encouraged as they increase access for all students enrolled in your course, whether they are on- or off-campus.

We will ensure copyright compliance, create permanent links to provide consistent and stable access to electronic library resources, as well as digitize portions of print materials. If materials cannot be made available electronically, physical items may be placed on a “Short Term Loan” shelf at the library location of your choice.

View our guide for information on the course reserves process, as well as instructions for how to move, edit and other common tasks that can be done with your course reserves once they are placed in your course.

If you are interested in this service, please see the Library’s Course Reserves webpage for details and contact us with any questions or comments at course.reserves@usask.ca.
