Title: Regina, the Queen City / by Earl G. Drake
Published: Toronto : McClelland &Stewart, 1955
Description: ix, 260 p. : ill. ; 24 cm
Notes: Drake's chapter on the 1885 Resistance describes Regina's response to it. Even though Reginans had some grievances similar to those of the Métis, they were not willing to support the Resistance. Regina's major importance, however, was that the trials of Louis Riel, Poundmaker, Big Bear and several other leaders were held there. The research is superficial, for it is based on one major source, the Regina Leader.
