One thing to adjust to at the U of S, beyond your academic requirements and being away from home, is the weather. It is likely that Saskatchewan's climate differs from the climate of your country or province of origin. Here, we have cold, dry winters. Often, the temperature drops to -30 C. When that happens, we still go to school.

The only thing that stops classes is a blizzard. When there is a blizzard bad enough to cancel classes, you will receive an e-mail from the university via PAWS letting you know classes are canceled, otherwise, assume they are happening, but use your best judgment when determining how to dress and how to get to school. Bundle up really warmly, take the bus and you should be fine.

One option at the U of S, is to walk indoors from building to building. We have a system of walkways and tunnels attaching most of the buildings on campus.
