Building the University of Saskatchewan

...is an extensive resource detailing the history of the building of the University of Saskatchewan campus.

This site details the history of the majority of buildings on the USask campus up until the early 2000's. Using primary sources from the University Archives and Special Collections the construction and use of each building is described, along with photographs. It also includes a chronology of the construction of the buildings, along with essays that discuss the building of campus more generally.

The types of fun facts you might learn here includes how the original engineering building burned down on a Friday the 13th, or that the John Mitchell Building, which is currently home to the drama department, was originally built to house Soils and Dairy Science.
