Frederic Harrison Edmunds: The Canadian landscape

Photographs of geological formations used as teaching aids by Dr. F.H. Edmunds, the first professior of geology at the University of Saskatchewan.

This project highlights over 100 photographs that Dr. F.H. Edmunds used as teaching aids following his 1929 appointment as the University of Saskatchewan's first professor of geology. Most of the images date from 1904 -1923 and illustrate a variety of geological formations. They were selected from the F.H. Edmunds fonds held by the University Archives and Special Collections, University of Saskatchewan.
