Postcard views of the Qu'Appelle Valley

Souvenir images depicting communities in Saskatchewan's picturesque Qu'Appelle Valley, drawn from the large collection of early western Canadian postcards developed by the University Archives and Special Collections, University of Saskatchewan.

Most of the cards were printed in the first two decades of the 20th century which was the golden age of the picture postcard. It includes images of Fort Qu'Appelle, Indian Head, Lebret, Lumsden, and more.

This site was created in 2001 in conjunction with the exhibition "Qu'Appelle: tales of two valleys" produced by Saskatoon's Mendel Gallery for presentation in Kleinburg, ON; Saskatoon and Regina.
